1. How
does SigmaPOWER™ work? 
SigmaPOWER™ is based on, ASME’s “Performance
Test Code” and international respected scientific thermodynamic,
chemical and mechanical literature. Upon technical base,
middle and top manager’s demands were taken into consideration
while creating system architecture and interface.
To use process data in SigmaPOWER™, we have to acquire
and archive process data first. For this purpose you can use
databases whatever you prefer. SigmaPOWER™ suits all
well-known databases. Such as Oracle, PI etc.
Process data in database make contact with SigmaPOWER™
by “Tag Connection” interface.
In this step, signals from field are assigned to appropriate
tags in system architecture. After assigning process data,
plant architecture is created in “System Design”
interface. Whole plant is structured hierarchical from top
to bottom. Plant architecture can be structured such as only
an individual HRSG or whole plant. And also more plants could
be manage in one control group. This feature gives us a chance
to manage a number of different type plants with their interaction
between each other.

How much should i invest in SigmaPOWER™?

Investment in SigmaPOWER™ depends on which level at
your plant that you can see Figure 1. Such as; if your plant
at DCS level, you need database before implementation of SigmaPOWER™.
If you made all preparations before, it is easy and cheap
to implement SigmaPOWER™ system.

How long is payback time? 
Payback time depends on how big is your plant, which tools
you will use and where is your plant at Automation Pyramid
which mentioned at question 2. (see Figure 1)
· Your plant size will directly effect on payback time
of your investment. It means the bigger plant size, the shorter
payback time.
· And also full package of SigmaPOWER™ Performance
Monitoring and Optimization System can help to get maximum
profit fast.
4. How long does implementation take? 
It depends
on your level at automation pyramid. Every preparation extends
implementation period of SigmaPOWER™ system. Though,
setting pre-steps up under the SigmaPOWER™ supervision
will take less time than you expect.
5. Should
i shut down my plant for implementation?

While implementing of SigmaPOWER™ Performance Monitoring
and Optimization System no shut down is required.
6.
How much energy cost savings will be earned at the end of
first year after implementation? 
Energy
cost savings of SigmaPOWER™ varies between 1 or 3 percentages
and of the first year. The energy saving is related to your
fuel consumption and your strategy.

7. How will SigmaPOWER™ effect on plant
employees? 
You can manage
both your plant equipment and plant operators. Right order
on right equipment to right man will complete the chain. Energy
awareness and plant culture are basic results of SigmaPOWER™
Performance Monitoring and Optimization System.
